Through the years, we have been a leader in managing our business in a way that impacts the environment in a friendly, positive, and thoughtful manner. Long before others were talking about sustainability and paying attention to environmental issues, we implemented our Environmental Vision and Management Policy. With the state of the economy, however, it does cost us money to recycle these materials but we believe it is worth it. If you feel strongly about sustainability practices, please drop us quick email and let us know.

Here's How You Can Help:

Use recycled papers whenever possible.

A very important way that we urge our customers to partner with us in our environment efforts is by using our digital/internet ordering, proofing, and reordering system. Use of our digital ordering system enables all of us to save substantial amounts of gasoline and other raw materials.

Recycle your office ink cartridges. Send out large jobs to more efficient equipment which you'll find in a commercial print shop like ours. We use inks and toners that are recyclable.

We use chemicals and solvents that are almost 100% water soluble, bio-degradable, and recyclable. They are often more expensive, but we consider these products to be a wise investment.

Use CFL's in your home and office space. You'll reduce your KWH consumption by some 20%.

January 2013 kickoff YTD Sustainability & Recycling results:

Virtually 100% of our paper purchases are from paper companies that harvest trees from decades old tree farms specifically planted, harvested, and replanted to provide an ongoing source of non-public paper pulp. We recycle nearly everything that passes through our shop and are darn proud of that fact.

In January alone, we recycled nearly ONE ton of paper and cardboard.

Our current average rate of recycling is 82% YTD

BY RECYCLING: In January alone....

We have saved 16 trees and 361 gallons of oil.

We saved 6,475 gallons of water and eliminated 56 pounds of pollutant effluents.

We eliminated the consumption of 3,700 KWH of electricity year to date.

We avoided consuming 3 cu.yds. of landfill. All this in just one month!

2012 Sustainability & Recycling Full Year Results:

In 2012 we recycled 10.58 tons of paper and cardboard.

We've moved our recycling rate to 85% in 2012 vs. 43% for 2009.

BY RECYCLING:

We saved 180 trees and 4,126 gallons of oil.

We saved 74,060 gallons of water and eliminated 635 pounds of pollutant effluents. PHEW!

We eliminated the consumption of 42,320 KWH of electricity.

2011 Sustainability & Recycling Full Year Results:

In 2011 we recycled 7.8 tons of paper and cardboard.

We've moved our recycling rate to 84% in 2011.

BY RECYCLING:

We saved 167 trees and 3,822 gallons of oil.

We saved 68,600 gallons of water and eliminated 588 pounds of pollutant effluents.

We eliminated the consumption of 39,200 KWH of electricity year to date.

2010 Sustainability & Recycling Full Year Results:

In 2010 we recycled 7.03 tons of paper and cardboard.

Proudly, we've moved our recycling rate to 82% in 2010 vs. 72% Q1 and 43% for 2009.

BY RECYCLING:

We saved 132 trees and 3,032 gallons of oil.

We saved 54,425 gallons of water and eliminated 467 pounds of pollutant effluents.

We eliminated the consumption of 31,100 KWH of electricity year to date.

Compared to 2008, we've made a more than four fold increase in the number of trees saved and a 4x reduction in oil consumed!!
