Kendall Press has been all a buzz with their new HP Latex 360 wide format printer that was recently installed. It’s like getting a shiny new car and trying to learn all the bells and whistles on it. Like anything new, everyone wants to be the first to use it. What will we print on it? Vinyl banners, fabric banners, mesh banners, retractable banners, vehicle wraps, backlit films, wall and floor graphics – shall I go on? The possibilities are truly endless.
And, what better way to try it out than with some new signage for Kendall Press? I have a feeling this printer is going to get it’s work out!
Why is Latex ink important?
Latex Inks produce virtually odorless prints. The water-based inks are nonflammable and noncombustible. It helps us to exceed client expectations with production speeds ideal for handling urgent jobs. And the high-quality, durable prints provide scratch resistance comparable to hard-solvent inks.
Banners and the materials they can be printed on
Well-designed banners can help you grab attention at trade shows. They can be used to thank sponsors for their donations, announce grand openings, used as backdrops for photo shoots, announce new products, etc.
Banners can be printed on vinyl, which can be used both indoors and outdoors and finished in a variety of ways. They can have pole pockets for using wooden rods to hang them or simply be finished with grommets. Retractable banners can be printed on Pospro (a durable, light weight material that stays flat when set up). Retractable banners are great for trade shows and allows for easy setup and transport. Pop-up banners are printed on fabric and they are finished with Velcro to adhere to their frame. Mesh vinyl is mostly used for outdoor banners. The mesh will allow the wind to pass through the banner without the need for wind slits to be cut. Fabric banners are lightweight, can be folded or rolled and are great if you need to travel to a conference with your poster.
